Trengrove – holiday cottage near Looe, Cornwall

Formerly known simply as Hill House, Trengrove was built around 1890 as accommodation for the local schoolmistress. The ground floor is open plan with central heating, a fully equipped kitchen (including a double oven cooker with grill, induction hob, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, toaster, fridge/freezer, blender/smoothie maker) and dining area comfortably seating six people and a feature fireplace with original ornamental cloam oven. The kitchen and dining area has original slate flooring. Also on the ground floor, is a fully fitted, family bathroom including bath, toilet, shower, heated towel rail.

The bright south facing sitting room opens on to the front garden, a beautiful, secluded, sunny and peaceful furnished garden with plenty of room for games, or to simply relax. The sitting room has a wood-burner (see Essential Info), comfortable seating for six, solid oak flooring, television with DVD/VHS player, and a portable BOSE SoundLink Mini music speaker, with great sound quality, simply link to smart devices via Bluetooth or AUX cable and enjoy your music! Also for your entertainment there is an extensive, free DVD library. USB charging sockets are provided in both the kitchen and sitting room.

There are three centrally heated bedrooms on the upper floor, two doubles (one en suite with toilet, shower, wash basin and heated towel-rail) and a twin with bunk beds. All bedrooms have a high definition television with integrated DVD player. The double rooms are bright, south facing at the front of the house and have their original feature fireplaces, now ornamental.

All rooms are fully carpeted, with bedside tables and lamps, USB charging sockets, wardrobes, and chests of drawers. Stair gates are fitted at the top and foot of the stairs. Egyptian cotton towels and bathrobes are included, and a hairdryer is also provided. Guests have full access to the house, their own private garden, free off-road parking and stunning woodlands in which to wander.
